California Gold Nutrition has been producing highly targeted supplements for those committed to practicing sports. Its focus on fitness and bodybuilding led to the creation of MC 88 Pure Micellar Casein Protein, a formulation that delivers specialized nutrition to the muscular fiber, with a high rate of absorption. Find out who can benefit from it and what to expect from such product.
California Gold Nutrition created the sports supplement line to boost gains and speed up post-gym recovery. MC 88 is a fat-free protein powder based on Micellar Casein – the other best part of milk, along with whey. This is an excellent source of naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and is slower to digest than protein from whey. This means that it keeps one satiated for longer and can work for more hours, including during sleep. With this one, you get 25 g of protein from Grade A dairy, also being very low in lactose and enriched with Calcium
This sleek black and gold container shelters 454 g or 16 oz powder, to suffice for 15 servings only. It comes for a price of SG$20. You won’t find this discounted, except with very, very few occasions. You may slightly lower the price if you purchase more containers at once.
Taste and Mixability
Serve a total of 30 g or two scoops per training day. Combine the powder with 6 to 12 oz of water, cow’s milk, almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk and similar beverages. Make sure the liquid is cold. The powder is not suitable for spoon blending; use a shaker or an electric blender instead. There are no harmful sweeteners, nor added sugar; it does have some mild artificial flavors, however.
MC 88 is a US-made supplement that can qualify as a lactose-free product in spite of being made of dairy products (cow’s milk). It does have gluten in it, however. The real downside is that it comes in a very small quantity, so if you want to see its effects, you have to order several containers.
This can be taken at any time of the day, regardless of your training habits. Thus, you may have one such protein drink in the morning, throughout the day or even in the evening. The BCAAs in it will protect your muscular fiber and ensure adequate recovery. Keep in mind that micellar casein is more suitable when you need your protein to digest slowly. There are 110 calories per serving, which is a negligible amount for hard training people. In addition, one serving provides about half of the Calcium needed for one day, thus helping your bones and muscular mass stay strong and healthy.
