Quality BCAA powder with no side effects
- OMG is it just me, or the taste is just horrible. Not to the point of gagging but deathly bland.
- As much as I don’t like the taste, I noticed its effectiveness. I’m more cut during the cycle.
- I wouldn’t buy this supp again. It’s good in terms of results but Universal needs to improve on the taste.

Modern nutrition for athletes requires BCAAs to build muscle. The branched chain amino acids lead to important gains as they target the lean muscle fiber, and can also offer more energy for workouts. It’s time we reviewed what Universal Nutrition has in store, because its BCAA formula has started getting some attention.
The BCAA Stack from Universal Nutrition is a recovery drink with the Anabolic Amino Complex at a 2:1 ratio. It is not just for bodybuilders, but also for athletes needing speed and endurance training in other sports. The formulation relies on its glutamine content (2.75 g per serving) to boost muscle fiber production. Furthermore, it’s got 2.5 g of leucine, 1.25 g isoleucine and 1.25 g valine, with no carbohydrates and fat. This is not a regular protein shake, so it shouldn’t be taken as one. However, the goal is similar and it must be noted that the BCAA Stack got an overall rating from consumers and that’s close to perfection.
BCAA Stack -Value
The BCAA Stack is available as 250 g containers for $35, discounted to a surprising $19.26 with select vendors or as 1000 g containers, for the price of $50-$78, depending on the active promotional offer. It’s worth shopping around for the better price.
BCAA Stack – Taste and Mixability
Universal Nutrition created three flavors for its BCAA Stack: Grape, Lemon Lime and Orange. Each has a fresh taste without any sugar. According to what others have said, the taste can be either good or bad – some like it and some don’t, it depends on what you are used to. It could be said that it rather tastes like sports drinks and vitamin water to some extent. It’s hard to tell which one is the best flavor of the three.
The powder is normally easy to mix with water. Take one scoop of 10 g. It is recommended to consume two such drinks a day, although one works too.
Universal Nutrition BCAA Stack is suitable for diets, as well as for intense workout times, since it is meant for better strength. This is not meant to replace carb or protein shakes, as it’s a very different concoction. For optimum results, it’s best to incorporate all of these in a routine.
With these added BCAAs athletes are reaching a superior level of performance. One great benefit is that it’s easier to absorb the amino acids from a drink than getting BCAAs from pills. For this reason, it’s also beneficial, if it’s consumed prior to workout (about 30 minutes in advance, so that it gives a boost of energy). However, never forget to have one such drink right after exercise.
If you are on a diet, this drink will help you have the energy you crave, since the diet itself may not be enough to provide it. The BCAA Stack will also help you gain more muscle while you are burning away the fat for obtaining a lean body.
