A unique masculine-smelling men cologne
- I love the citrus smell and over time it would change to a musky scent.
- The bottle cap of my parfum broke after a few weeks. It could be designed better.
- I just wish it would last longer. On me, being an active person, it last under 3 hours plus.
Duration length of product testing: 1 week
As far as first impressions go, it is said that people will more easily remember how you smell than how you look like. A signature scent is something every man should have. Versace Oud Noir is one of those more likeable designer perfumes that don’t ride entirely on the popularity of their brand.
The perfume comes in a rectangular black box that has some gold accents. The bottle is rectangular too, with a height of 5.2inches. It has a black and gold cap, while its body starts off as clear glass which transitions into a saturated black color.
Oud Noir has a sensual aroma that starts off as zesty bitter orange and evolves into spicy notes and finally settles into a pleasant scent of leather. It is very alluring, and mysterious. It is passionately crafted to resonate with a man with a strong personality. The intense oud is the magic ingredient that brings this fragrance to life.
This is one of those scents that don’t stay very long, if some buyer reviews are anything to go by. While it is a premium fragrance that is crafted to yield different sensual notes, it stays for as little as four hours. This might make it ideal to the understated man, who likes to have a scent that does not stimulate the olfactory senses too much. But its sweet notes are not really meant to be subdued because it is as intense as it is seductive. It has recently been reformulated to address this apparent shortcoming.
The intense dark oud is distinctively dominant and noticeable. It is complemented nicely by other supportive notes that include olibanum, cardamom and saffron.
Versace Oud Noir is readily available despite having a relatively recent launch. It is a designer perfume and carries the price tag of one. It is not very expensive though, as it can be had for $60 or thereabout in discount stores. For most buyers, it is the ideal oud that combines both the richness of that woody allure with a price that is far better than what the competition has to offer.
For many it is the perfect Oud Noir by Versace.
For the man looking to redefine his personality with a remarkable scent that is nicely crafted, this Versace Oud Noir is a perfect fit. As subjective as scents might be, it is hard to find fault with this one.
