Good products start with a great source of prime materials. If this source is in any way compromised, it becomes very hard to deliver an outstanding, high-quality product. As we know, whey is one of the most popular sources for protein shakes for athletes. It is a part of milk and there are many controversies surrounding it – mainly because not all cows are raised as they’re supposed to.
Grass-Fed Whey Protein is a natural whey protein powder and is worth the attention precisely due to what its name suggests. The cows giving the milk are grass-fed, which represents the best and safest way for consumers. Cows are not getting substitute food, but the grass they’re naturally intended to eat. This results in top quality, contaminant-free (e.g. antibiotic-free) whey as a primary source. The final product has 25 g protein, BCAAs and Glutamine, everything being obtained through technologically innovative methods described by the manufacturer.
The online price ranges between SGD $24 and SGD $28 for a container with 1 lb or 455 g of powder. Cost variations are thus small.
Taste and Mixability
The Grass-Fed Whey Protein is enriched with natural flavourings (mainly organic cocoa powder and stevia extract for sweetness), so it can please many. One serving size is one scoop, which is about 32 g. Mix it with 8 to maximum 12 fl. oz. of water, which must be cold in order to sample its best taste. The flavour will not fare so well with other liquids.
Behind MusclePharm there is a top team of researchers and athletes who work together to create ideal formulas. This is one of those concoctions and, simple as it may look, it can be quite powerful, even used on its own. It’s about nutrition (non-denaturated protein especially) and stamina. Plus, it has a very low content of fat and carbohydrates – negligible, one would say. The BCAAs and Glutamine will work in synergy to increase your performance level. Thus, this supplement isn’t just growing muscle by feeding it with protein, it also helps you do more at the gym and get past your limits. To make it work as intended though, you have to adopt a suitable diet and training regimen. There are no banned substances in it, so you can safely employ this when you are competing. Note that it is not suitable for weight reduction purposes. Additionally, it is a milk-based product, which makes it unsuitable for certain people.
