Quality protein supplements don’t always come from whey. It’s time to remind yourself how useful eggs can be – particularly the egg whites when you’re trying to lose fat and build muscle.
Now Sports uses eggs as a natural source of good protein in its Eggwhite Protein; it managed to create a product that is accurately measured for protein purity and efficiency. This makes it one of the most trusted supplements of its kind currently on the market, since not all benefit of such research. This one is marketed as ‘pure powder’ high in protein and manufactured in the USA. It has an impressive profile, with 9 essential amino acids and 9 non-essential ones. Take a look at the list on the jar and you will find some of the rare ones included here. Note the Glutamic Acid in a large amount. The product has no fiber and no fat content.
Find this in plastic jars with 1.2 lbs or 544 grams of powder. You can save if you buy online from well-known supplement providers. The usual retail price is of $28 but you can purchase the product for $21.
Taste and Mixability
Serving size is ¼ cup or 20 grams approximately and the powder mixes easily (although not as easy as whey protein), resulting in a creamy shake when the liquid is in adequate quantities. Blend the powder in a big glass of milk or any other suitable liquid. You can also use it when cooking when there are no eggs in the fridge for your recipes. Just mix two tablespoons with water (six tablespoons) and use the mixture and cook just like you would with actual eggs. The taste in itself is nothing to be remarked, but when mixed with tasty ingredients everything is just right.
Eggwhite Protein can actually make for a good alternative to whey powders. Its 16 grams of protein per serving can ensure 32% of your daily needs. Drink it daily. Note that if you already have digestive problems, you may not tolerate it well. However, all such supplements may stir such issues if you suffer from certain conditions. Do not expect the taste of regular protein powders. This is rather like an egg substitute and simply mixing it with water – or even with milk – isn’t going to do anything nice to it. You will not enjoy the taste; better blend it into tasty drinks and foods (or simply use it when cooking).
